We are planting our first field next week, many delays for a few reasons but that is a 32 acre field. later this year we then plan a further 90 acres, to make about 120 acres. Over the next 5 years we plan to get up to about 600 in total.

I feel i have to plant enough to have a commercial volume, enough to make it a harvestable crop that we can then add value to and afford small equipment to process and market it as the first UK grown agroforestry nuts.

We will plan some fruit also aswell as trees just for biomass/heat etc.

Interested to learn more about systems in southern europe if you have specific examples.
