@Tomzogas , I have experimented with bokashi’d spent brewers’ grains as part of a SARE farm grant with similar results to what you describe: increased production and late-season frost protection. The frost protection was the surprise. Under the same row cover, the control died while the experimental groups survived with aplomb.
