Nina that was great to read, I have been fascinated by what you are doing with your strawberries since John kempf posted that photo of 150 flowers per plant, it is interesting that you do only fertigation as I have been wondering about things like fruit staining and off flavours from spraying plants with fruit in them, I am in a similar situation to chorus as I grow a similar number of crops, I am however in ireland so I can access nova crop control directly and only pay about 25-30% of what ye pay through crop health labs, this will allow me to test more offer but the time and attention it will take is the same.

Chris my strategy is similar to yours but my greatest focus will be on the crops that I manage in large high income blocks, for example I have a block of 10k garlic which is a no brained to sap test as it is managed as a single unit and worth 12-15k to us if we have a good crop, similar with onions, tomatoes, strawberries, winter squash, leeks, potatoes, carrots, beets and broccolini, there are some crops for which this strategy does not apply but where I will test once or twice like greens, peppers etc just to get a general idea of what my soil is delivering, approaching it this way I should generally be in the ballpark with nutrition I hope, I am also starting to use the haney soil test.

Nina are you using fish hydrolisate as a primary nutrient source? What spacing are you at with your everbearers?
