Dissolved nutrients vs Total nutrients in compost teas
How much and how often are you applying compost tea Benny? Are you doing follow up testing of the plants or visual ques? I asked Nicole Masters about what happens if we over apply bio stimulants we were talking about vermi products and she said it has the potential to interfere with the nitrogen cycle for several days.

Would Sea 90 sea salt work to reduce the tie up from hard water of micronutrients added to a foliar mix?
Looking for a cheaper route than reverse osmosis. I’ve heard sea 90 is beneficial in a foliar anyway.

You might be better with an organic acid like citric acid to reduce the activity of those minerals. I’m not sure what Sea 90 would do actually to help keep the hard water from reducing your mineral availability.

In water softeners the sodium from the salt is displacing the Ca and Mg in carbonates making sodium bicarbonate? Still a bicarbonate with possibly even more chemical reactivity. AEA should have a posted explaination of the bicarbonate problem. On Kind Harvest? Citric acid doesn’t help as per AEA. Can you collect enuf rainwater? Or test a… Read more
