Probably best to go with a multi-species blend. Synergy and the ability to address multiple issues should serve you well.

Mostly goldenrod, some asters, some Canadian thistle, some mullein and some Kentucky blue grass.
Other very short forbs. Even some lichen on the exposed ground.

Can you give more context?
Is this an area that you’ve been tilling? Are the thistle and grasses very predominant? Are there large quack rhizomes?

Which plants are growing there currently? Maybe best to work with the weeds that come up, alleviate compaction, irrigate, fertilize, foliars.

Yes, quack grass means compaction, or at the beginning a disrupted texture for too muche tillage. I would like to reduce tillage as much as I can, but to achieve this I need a better understanding of soil conditions that promote a specific weed or group of weeds.
