Thanks Brian, appreciate the reply. Presume you avoided applying an insecticide given that would be contradictory to the broader principles of this forum?
How did it nodulate? I am thinking of including a few sunflowers to attract beneficial, I might consider some other flowering types.

Greg hit a lot of good points, and I’d agree that in many ways you would be virtually starting over to get a decent selection from seed. There is a reason certain varietals have been around for centuries; they are exceedingly rare.
