Where abouts are you? You should be able to get pure Manganese Sulphate from a chemicals shop and then just use humics or aminoacids, etc to chelate. I think ratios are definitely temperature and timeframe dependent. If I’m in a hurry or temps are low I use a higher dosage. If you have a perpetual ferment going in a single container the population manages itself like vermicompost.

You might find the following books useful for learning what weeds indicate. They’re all available from Acres USA. I don’t have any recommendations for resources on what pests are telling us about host plant nutritional imbalances.

I don’t have an answer for you, but we had the wet leading through until last winter/spring cause us problems that we have not seen before. The soil remained wet for too long creating a lot of root issues. This may have set up a cascading effect whereby the slaters were able to proliferate, in your situation.
