how have you used the redox potential course knowledge?
i am yet to dive into the weeds topic so much but i am having a lot of fun looking at the different types that are coming up through my ginger, all seem to be based on drainage and sunlight variables. it’s very easy to highlight the areas that need work on drainage/compaction in my fields and is valuable knowledge for the expansion of…

What were the changes you made to your watering schedule? What type of irrigation are you using? I’m also seeing pest pressure after rains in my more waterlogged areas. Luckily, it seems to only be the low-hanging Cucurbits and corn that are heavily impacted. I think my next step is to dive into Dr. Husson’s research on rice paddies, as all of…

i am also planning to incorporate a shallow till when bed prepping with my battery powered Ellia 3000 from curly’s ag, timing will be crucial but i am lucky that late winter/early spring is my driest part of the year. i only provide copper in a small amount via foliar with other micro’s but i do think using sulfur or sulfate compounds are…

Hi Larry
Thanks for the reply. You’re in Ontario? So that’s getting towards 2.0t/ha by the sounds of it?
How many days on average form planting to harvest and were you direct heading or windrowing/swathing?
I’d be keen to chat on it if you were open to the idea?
Cheers

at the moment I have not modified my farming practices, but I think to have now better clues on weeds as bioindicators, why and when they grow in relation to soil characteristics that are in turn, better described by Eh-pH than they are by other descriptors, at least this is my take-home from the soil redox course.
